Background:
NovaCloud, a reseller managing over 50 clients through Intcomex Cloud Platform (ICP), needed to assign specific responsibilities to different team members across sales, support, and finance—without compromising security or giving unnecessary access.

Before using this feature, NovaCloud ran into two key problems:
• Everything had to go through the main account admin, which created bottlenecks.
• There was no way to control what each user could or couldn’t do with client accounts or services.

The Solution:
With User and Role Management in ICP, NovaCloud streamlined its operation by setting up user access based on each team’s responsibilities:

👥 Reseller internal users:
• Internal accounts were created with roles like Reseller Admin (Limited) for the technical team—letting them manage services without access to financial info.
• The finance team was given the Billing (Read Only) role so they could view reports and invoices without making changes to services.

👥 End-customer users:
• For clients with in-house IT teams, NovaCloud assigned Customer Admin (Advanced) roles, allowing them to manage their own subscriptions and services—lightening the load on NovaCloud.

🎛️ Custom roles setup:
• From the Security tab, permissions were tailored to each user’s needs, giving them access only to the tools they needed day-to-day.

The Results:
✅ Faster workflows: Bottlenecks were removed thanks to smart delegation and access control.
✅ Better security: No more over-permissioned users. Everyone has access only to what they actually need.
✅ Happier clients: Those with Customer Admin (Advanced) roles can self-manage their services right from ICP.
