Context:
SoftCloud, a regional cloud solutions reseller, manages multiple user accounts on the Intcomex Cloud Platform (ICP) for their sales, technical, and finance teams. As part of their security policy, passwords are changed regularly. Naturally, some users forget their credentials from time to time, causing unnecessary disruptions.

The Challenge:

Every time someone forgot their password, they had to wait for the platform admin to reset it—delaying important tasks like quoting licenses, processing renewals, or checking billing info.

The Solution:

SoftCloud took a proactive approach by training their internal users to reset their passwords themselves using the “Can’t sign in?” option on the ICP login page.

Here’s what they did:

  1. Went to the ICP login page and clicked “Can’t sign in?”
  2. Entered their registered username to request a reset link.
  3. Received an automatic email with a secure password reset link.
  4. Created a new password following ICP’s security requirements (at least 12 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and a special character).
  5. Logged back in and continued working—no need to involve the admin.

The Results:

✅ Less downtime: Users were able to reset their credentials in minutes, all on their own.
✅ Fewer support tickets: The support team saw a drop in password-related issues.
✅ Stronger security: With strict password policies in place, unauthorized access became much less likely.

Final Thoughts:

Thanks to this simple but powerful feature, SoftCloud kept their operations running smoothly and gave their team more independence. What used to be a hassle is now a quick, secure, and self-managed process—right from the Intcomex Cloud Platform.
